Description.
The Polakow is Quatro’s fastest, most drive-oriented and turn-capable thruster to date — a board Keith Teboul calls “the fastest, driviest, turniest board yet” and “the best Thruster I have ever used.” Designed to sail with the same fast-and-loose attitude as Jason Polakow, it delivers pro-level performance while staying flattering and easy to ride in real-world conditions.
Slightly longer than the Pyramid and just under a centimeter narrower, it features less overall rocker. The stance area is nearly 2 cm narrower for improved control at high speeds. A single‑to‑double‑to‑V bottom creates more rail curve than the Pyramid, keeping the board incredibly turny while the flatter rocker boosts drive and straight‑line speed. It’s the flattest rocker ever used on a Quatro thruster, resulting in a crisp, highly responsive, and exceptionally slippery feel underfoot.

The recipe for the One begins with a Custom Thruster base shape, a Slalom‑inspired rocker, and Bump & Jump freeride geometry. Generation 13 takes this proven foundation and elevates it with a new lighter construction, transforming the way the board feels underfoot. By reducing weight, every characteristic is amplified: the board accelerates more quickly, responds more instantly, and delivers a smoother, more connected ride across all conditions.The lighter build also enhances agility, making transitions from planing to flying over chop to carving through jibes feel effortless and natural. Sustainability plays a role too, with the removal of the deck sticker in favour of a mightier transfer. The Powerbox system in 95l – 125l supports larger fins and a simplified setup with a single screw from the deck. Whilst the smaller 78l and 85l come with US Boxes for added weight saving and more tuning range. Taking our latest and most progressive wave shapes and increasing both length and width ever so slightly results in what is your go-to if you prefer a Thruster setup, yet as radical a wave board as the Quad. Akin to the Banzai concept, this is essentially one wave board tuned in two ways. Originating from the same new exuberant shapes as the Custom Quad, with the addition of a faster and sharper tail rocker, the Custom Thruster packs even more speed, stability and waft than the Quad. Easily as radical, the Thruster however is a touch more forgiving. The primary target of these progressive boards was applying the learnings from our new favorite Custom Quads and adding much more range to them. Voilà the Custom Thruster 4 Pro Carbon. Generation 4. Both boards are faster and lighter with added comfort and control. Custom built US boxes for lightness and compatibility, removed deck sticker for lightness and sustainability. Keeping in mind how more and more people love the Custom Thruster for bump & jump riding, drove us to also focus on refining the lowend speed characteristics, to plane earlier, jump higher, while not deviating an inch from those radical turns that stay with you long after your session has ended.
